The Society was formed in 1971 by the History Committee of the Queen Anne Community Council, and since that time has worked in many areas to advance its mission of preservation of the community's historic heritage. An independent non-profit organization, we work to preserve significant neighborhood buildings, maintain a community history archive, and hold bimonthly meetings that feature programs which emphasize community and Washington history.
Since 1917, Lions clubs have offered people the opportunity to give something back to their communities. Today with more than 46,000 clubs in 192 countries and geographical areas, Lions have expanded their focus to help meet the ever-increasing needs of our global community.
